When a person sends an alert, it is received by everyone within a 25 mile radius, that has downloaded the app. The person will then automatically receive advice depending on whether their dog was stolen, lost from home or lost away from home, as all this advice differs. If somebody then finds/spots the dog, they are able to connect with the owner directly via the app.

IMPORTANT - BEWARE OF SCAMMERS
Unfortunately where there is pain and suffering being experienced when someone loses a much loved pet, scammers are never far away. Please note that Lost Stolen Dog will never contact you and will never ask you for money. We do not search for pets ourselves, we provide a free service to connect people and legitimate organisations in efforts to find your dog. Do not engage with these people however genuine they may appear. Hang up/do not reply and report immediately to your local authorities.
Be aware of fake Facebook groups and WhatsApp contacts using our logo. Our one and only official Facebook group is here and we do not contact anyone using WhatsApp.
